STRIVE Opens State-of-the-Art Fitness Center Model to Introduce Innovations

(12/19/06) Fitness technology leader, STRIVE, who brought us the adjustable cam driven strength machines, has aggregated leading fitness technologies and placed them within one state-of-the-art facility. Now all members, from kids to seniors, can benefit from circuit training, cardio, exer-gaming, advanced biometrics, flavorful nutrition, and virtual reality. It's so simple and fun, members don't realize they're getting fit.

Press Release:

December 19, 2006 McMurray, PA -- STRIVE, a global innovator of strength equipment that developed the unprecedented adjustable cam for maximum strength training designed to optimize muscle development, has pushed the envelope again with the opening of its new advanced fitness center model last month.
The grand opening of the advanced fitness center called, 123 StriveFit, took place on November 3rd, and was launched with great fanfare. Participating were fitness superstars and STRIVE users such as Gunnar Peterson, personal trainer to the stars; Bill Kazmaier, the world's strongest man; Grant Roberts, personal trainer for Hilary Swank for the Academy Award winning movie Million Dollar Baby; and Paul Zientarski, Physical Educator at the world-renowned Naperville School District and PE4life Academy.

At 123 StriveFit, STRIVE is showcasing its advanced exercise equipment which is particularly suited for 30-minute circuit training, an emerging market in fitness around the world. Each piece of equipment has a cam with three simple adjustments, and each user completes one set with three different settings to train the muscles more completely with guaranteed results.

"STRIVE equipment brings the greatest returns to health club owners and operators who promote a circuit training format to attract first-time exercisers or perhaps people that have tried fitness before and gave it up," said STRIVE President, John Salvitti. "With the STRIVE Smart Circuit, users can see rapid results - it's a 30-minute total strength and cardio offering."

An Area Especially for Kids

At the center, STRIVE showcases its complete line of strength training equipment specifically engineered for children called "Kidz Smart Strength."
The facility also sports a fully-supervised kids' center for children ages 6-13, which offers kid-sized strength equipment and exciting interactive video games. STRIVE offers a complete line of strength training equipment specifically engineered for children called "Kidz Smart Strength."

Advanced Nutrition

To satisfy members' nutritional needs, STRIVE offers "Biometrics," a new meal planning program that is based on an initial assessment of the member's body and weight goals. What's different is that this program offers choices. With Biometrics, members can choose their favorite meal types and ethnic dishes, and either prepare them at home or enjoy them while dining out at a restaurant.

VCycling Makes a Debut

The new facility also features VCycling, the ultimate virtual cycling experience. With VCycling, the cyclist is positioned on an actual road bicycle connected to a computer which projects interactive images onto a screen.

VCycling allows users of all ages to select from a wide variety of courses. Users can select a scenic journey through Italy or ride the Tour de France while competing against themselves or other cyclists in a racing format.

Recapping the mission of the new fitness center model Salvitti said, "As a leader in this industry we need to be effective at attracting and retaining the 86% of the population that does not actively work out. So, we developed a working model with the goal to stay on the cutting edge of both product and program development so that we can serve our customers better."

Setting the record straight...
some commentary: it is highly typical, especially in an industry filled with too many egos and plenty of fraud, to find people coming up with new ideas, who choose to invest in them, but really only seek a financial return above all else- with little or no concern for scientific or market validity; they figure, if some bozo is getting away with making money selling AbBlaster gizmos on one of the 100s of cable channels, why cant they be a part of that crowd ("it just isnt fair",or "how hard can it be",or "sure, my idea is no big deal, but its all about telling people what they want to hear, and cashing in",is how the thinking process sometimes goes). The invention process is mostly full of three players, the legal world, the inventors, and the companies in an industry. its about building a mousetrap, then figuring out a better way to do it, then figuring out a better, cheaper way to do it. But 99.9% of the time, its a process done in the context of a single minded pursuit of making a buck and maximizing what goes in your pocket as you navigate the world of those consumed with that process. It sets up a fairly impossible scenario where there is no breathing room for an ounce of trust, or for taking even a moment of time to evaluate how an idea can simply help a LOT of people... without inventor, lawyer and interested company becoming grossly distracted by the mere suspicion of of unreasonable greed or expectation of return on their efforts...so any notion of actually bringing a genuinely useful product, to those who could really benefit from it, gets sooo lost and mired in a sea of choking concern over stopping/preventing selfish agendas.... that a person with the right ideas and the right intentions, gets mistaken for, and written off as,...someone in the typical crowd. let me set the record straight: Strive has a great product and i absolutely admire their efforts to go above and beyond what the rest of the fitness industry has done...because THAT is what an industry leader should be doing; there arent too many in the strength business. What Strive has done for young people, is especially respectable. I can help to make a better product, and i promise and will put in writing, that my goal is simple: bring some new and unique strength products,to those who could benefit most from them (with industry experts to back that up),and make a bold effort to put most of the success of that product, to work for purposes other than my own bank account. I invite Strive to demo my machine and assist me and my current manufacturing partner,if its workable, to set up R+D and a plan for using part or all of possible monies from sales of my concepts, to help the troops. Or at least to talk about the possibilities.. thx, scott

YOUR best...UP against mine
Mr. Salvitti...isnt it really just that simple?.... i mean, you can list all of the folks on planet earth who have used your machines..and if that list can fill up a book, it really is meaningless if those people have no knowledge of something better... I have attempted, numerous times, to have a conversation of science and substance on strength machines, and have continually been met with silence...so, any notion of Strive "promising to continue innovation and deliver new and exciting products/programs that will be unprecedented in our industry", is 100% MARKETING and PR hot air(no different than most other co's). If you are knowledgeable in advanced strength training, you know full well that the largest companies are CURRENTLY attempting to come up with exactly the concepts i have been working on for 10 years (WELL before you knew it was even useful)- ANYTIME CHANGE in resistance on a weightstack machine. i have had private conversations with former employees of your company who agree that my concepts are the next generation of strength machines- customized resistance curves- changing weight from rep to rep, and during a rep. So, to summarize, if you find your machines getting any invites to the biomechanics laboratories of top sports science universities, you'd be one less step behind me. And by the way, if the military had had an opportunity to demo one of my units back in 1997 when i first finalized the patent and development, your writing on this comment section would have had no choice but to acknowledge that anytime weight change, on a weightstack machine, using gravity based means only...is the FAR superior choice in strength training equipment. I STILL invite you to have a constructive and sincere conversation about how to join my innovation movement to deliver the best strength equipment concepts to our military and law enforcement. i welcome it anytime..our troops deserve it. best wishes... scott naidus www.dcrtech.com

STRIVE…Innovation proven to work!
I commend Mr. Nadius for trying to push the envelop in the world of strength training, like Strive has done for decades now. I wish him luck and commend Mr. Nadius also for getting his PROTOTYPES into two universities and for his dreams to someday have his products used by our US military. STRIVE has been installing equipment in US military bases for years and soon will have its first installation with the elite Israeli defense force. STRIVE's proven products are currently being used by all branches of the US military both domestically and abroad and Strive can be found in Special Ops training facilities, on aircraft carriers, and in many Army, Air Force, Marine and Naval bases worldwide. Strive is extremely effective, easy to use, durable, and cost effective and this is what has lead to Strive's success and acceptance not only by the US military but also in the commercial health club market, YMCA's, Schools/Universities, professional sports teams, PT facilities etc... I have not tried Mr. Nadius' product so I won't comment on how it compares to Strive but Strive could compile a list of tens of thousands names of Strive users and customers that will emphatically say that Strive is the most effective strength training system on the market today because of Strive's efficacy and ease of use. There aren't many products like Strive, if any at all, that are versatile enough to receive accolades from the most advanced in fitness all the way down to the least experienced first time exerciser. Strive promises also to continue innovation and deliver new and exciting products/programs that will be unprecedented in our industry.

sooo, you're looking for THE best strength equipme
i designed and developed the ONLY weightstack machines that permit the user to adjust weight at ANY TIME they want during the exercise, without ever having to stop the exercise, or come to resting position or touch the pin..a 1st in the industry. my concepts are a quantum leap beyond any conventional equipment on the market...my machine prototype has been in the laboratories of two top sports science universities. i contacted strive numerous times over the years and expressed interest in having them help me...NO ANSWER, ever. my current project is to build equipment for our military and our troops... my equipment is a huge improvement over what strive can do..and i will go up against their machines any day.. thx, scott naidus email: scottbiz@hotmail.com
